Big Packing Parties! They are a fun way to help pack shoe boxes. I’ve gone to the ones in New York City and in Allentown, PA. I loved meeting new people and sharing in the excitement of seeing the stack of boxes grow and grow!
They taught me alot about new items to pack, or even how to organize my things. Now when I run my own (much smaller) packing parties, I have a much better idea of how to set up the tables, what signs to post and how to help keep things moving smoothly.
They also are a great way to introduce new people to the program. Once they help out, you’ve got them hooked
You’ve seen the Video above from 2010—now you are invited to be a part of the experience!
THIS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27-28
Come join us in changing the lives of children around the world. We’ll work together to pack 22,000 gift-filled shoe boxes in one weekend to be sent to needy children in 100 countries through Operation Christmas Child.
Volunteers will work assembly-line style to pack boxes with items that have been provided. You can come for an hour or stay all day. No advance sign up is required and lunch will be provided.
This is a great opportunity for service hours for students and it will be a fun and inspiring experience for you and your family as we watch the trucks fill up with these boxes that will bless children in Jesus’ name.
We’ll be taking a collection at the packing party to help with the costs of shipping the boxes and are asking any who are able to bring at least $7.00 to cover the cost of shipping one box.
Light lunch served.

Please repost and pass this invitation along to others in the Erie area as we need hundreds of volunteers to make this happen.
Contact your Regional Office for a listing of any big parties in your area, if this is way too far away for you to attend. I think going to one is definitely worth even a very long drive! But I know there will be more scheduled all around the country. So call or email your Regional office today
